Robbie began supporting people with learning disabilities at the age of sixteen, when he started as a volunteer in a social club in Liverpool. This lead him to choose a career in health and social care two years later. He then trained as a registered nurse for people with learning disabilities in Cranage Hall hospital near Crewe.
Since then he has worked across a number of local authorities, NHS, charities and private companies across the UK. His work has ranged from working as a commissioner, developing supported living, day opportunities, and forensic services for people learning disabilities, mental health needs and autism. Robbie is a keen runner who regularly volunteers at the local Park run.
